The Season 3 of the Kapamilya Negosyo Na is now on. We are expecting a lean but mean participants across the Province of Cebu who shall compete for the most coveted title of a Big Winner.
The formal launching of the KNN has been held during the Kapamilya Media Forum usually being pretaped at the Entertainment Center of SM City Cebu (see the video at the profile page).
However, this year’s Forum and KNN’s launching is done at the new Law & Graduate school building of the University of San Carlos- Main Campus along Pelaez Street, Cebu City.
KNN is so dynamic that changes are already its inherent factor. First, this year’s KNN is to be led by the new president of the USC-College of Commerce Alumni Association, Marissa Puche.
The KNN project chairman is also newly appointed–Cora Anzano, a faculty of the USC Business Administration department.
To top of all the changes that makes KNN improving every season is the incorporation of the "school-on-the-air" in the radio program every Saturday (12:30nn-2pm) over DYAB 1512 AM of the ABS-CBN Broadcasting Corporation.
This year marks the "out-of-the-box" attitude of KNN. It has linked with the Cebu City Government backed entrepreneurial program dubbed as BEST under the office of Vice-Mayor Michael Rama who graced the KNN3 launching.
Joni Chan, Executive Director of the UMC4 explains during the forum the linkage between KNN and their BEST program.
Fr. Mark Matthias, dean of the College of Commerce of USC called the linkage as a marriage.
As practiced by KNN, livelihood skills training workshop is held at the start of every season. Though, attendance during the skills workshop is not a requisite to the KNN participation, it is to give ideas to the public what are the possible business opportunities they could initiate.
The second Saturday of KNN’s activities is the Business Plan Workshop which was held at the USC main classroom. The workshop is a requisite for those who wish to compete in the KNN project.
Interested attendees of the Business Plan Workshop shall submit their business plan until July 14, 2008 for evaluation and selection by the screening committee. Those selected as semi-finalists will be interviewed live during the radio program where their proposal shall be discussed.
The final selection of the ten winners shall then follow with the awarding of the seed capital.

KNN SEASON-2 (LEVEL-UP!) The “KAPAMILYA, NEGOSYO NA!” will quantum leap in its second season soon.
The new members of the board of the University of San Carlos-College of Commerce Alumni Association, Inc. had adopted this one-of-a-kind entrepreneurial project as its flagship project.
"It created a stir in the community”, the USC-COCAAI observes. Both the Sangguniang Panlalawigan of the Province of Cebu and the Sangguniang Panlunsod of Cebu City passed resolutions commending the program.
In its Evaluation and Planning Session held on March 25, 2007, finer points have been agreed upon to raise the project one-level up.
Among the changes to be expected in the second season of KNN are the following:
If you have some suggestions for KNN, please post your comment in this blog. (juntariman)
The USC College of Commerce Alumni Association, Inc. has called a planning workshop to all organizers and stakeholders of the upcoming second season of the radio entrepreneurial program–Kapamilya, Negosyo Na!
This will be held on March 25 at the Casa Verde along V. Ranudo Extension in Cebu City.
USC-COCAAI outgoing president Devin Go has also invited some of the KNN winners to give inputs during the planning workshop. Newly-elected COCAAI president–Carmen Piramide will preside the gathering.
Representatives from ABS-CBN & DYAB will be present during the planning.
Much to be discussed is the possible collaboration of another group in launching the 2nd season of KNN.
Kudos to the organizers of this highly appreciated entrepreneurial program in radio.
Kapamilya, Negosyo Na! Second Season? Yes! DYAB management is negotiating a partner group to bankroll the second season of KNN.
Of course, the USC-College of Commerce Alumni Association, Inc. will definitely be around in the second season as its officials expressed their willingness to continue what they consider its "baby project".
Expect more capital and more prizes in the second season as we also expect more entries from the listening public.
The success of the KNN entrepreneurial project encourages individuals to join in the next season. We have been receiving countless queries even before the KNN’s initial offering had yet to choose it’s first big winner.
See you in the next season. Soon!
